Sport Program Attendant

POSITION: Sport Program Attendant & SUBS
SALARY: $21.62 per hour + 14% in lieu of benefits = $24.65 per hour (Jan 2024 rate)
              $22.05 per hour + 14% in lieu of benefits = $25.14 per hour (July 2024 rate)
CLASSIFICATION: JB05, Program Instructor III
HOURS OF WORK: Variable hours – including evenings and weekends. Hours will be based on program 
registration. All SUB hours will be based on time-off requests and sick coverage.
STATUS: Auxiliary

SUMMARY: West Shore Parks & Recreation is looking for energetic, enthusiastic Sport Program Attendants to join our team. Under the direction of the Sport and Youth Programmer, Sport Program Attendants are 
responsible for: program organization and implementation of a variety of sports programs, for example: 
pickleball, basketball, floor hockey and dodgeball. Must ensure facilities are being used appropriately (in 
accordance with posted rules and bookings procedures).

• Ability to be imaginative and flexible to ensure all programs run smoothly.
• Ability to follow established safety standards and requirements.
• Excellent customer service, inter-personal, and public relations skills are required.
• Must be physically capable of carrying, assembling, and disassembling pickleball nets.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Current Emergency First Aid and CPR C certification is required.
• Current Criminal Record Check is required. 
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to foster an environment that encourages participation.
• Demonstrate the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment as well as independently.
