POSITION: School-Aged & Youth Program Leaders
SALARY: JB05 – $21.62 per hour + 14% in lieu of benefits = $24.65 per hour (Jan 2024 rate)
                       – $22.05 per hour + 14% in lieu of benefits = $25.14 per hour (July 2024 rate)
              JB07 – $25.84 per hour + 14% in lieu of benefits = $29.46 per hour (Jan 2024 rate)
                      – $26.35 per hour + 14% in lieu of benefits = $30.04 per hour (July 2024 rate)
CLASSIFICATION: JB05 to JB07 – depending on program requirements
HOURS OF WORK: Variable hours – including evenings and weekends. Hours are based on program registration.

SUMMARY: West Shore Parks & Recreation (WSPR) is looking for exceptional staff to deliver exciting recreation opportunities to the children and youth of the Westshore. Programs encourage participants to cultivate friendships and experience a wide variety of activities, while developing lifetime skills. WSPR is looking for energetic, enthusiastic Program Leaders for school-aged and/or youth programs. Under the direction of the Sport and Youth Programmer, School-Aged & Youth Program Leaders are responsible for: program organization and implementation of a variety of programs including youth drop-in programs, youth sports programs, Home Alone courses, Red Cross Babysitter courses, Cooking for Fun, Dungeons & Dragons and Board Game club, and Special Events.

• Current Emergency First Aid and CPR C certificate is required.
• Current Criminal Record Check is required.

• Demonstrate ability to work co-operatively in a team environment as well as independently.
