Pearson College UWC is recruiting for an outstanding IBDP Mathematics and Economics Teacher.
Reporting to: Deputy Head of College – Academics
Position Summary:
Pearson College UWC is seeking a teacher with a strong academic and practical teaching background in Mathematics and Economics to deliver the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program (DP) Mathematics and Economics courses. The IB Mathematics and Economics courses are designed to accommodate the range of needs, interests, and abilities of students while fulfilling university and career aspirations. Students are encouraged to appreciate the international dimensions of mathematics and economics and its cultural and historical perspectives.
The successful candidate will be able to teach IBDP Mathematics: analysis and approaches and Mathematics: applications and Interpretation at Standard Level (SL) and Economics at SL and Higher Level. The ability to teach Mathematics: analysis and approaches at HL is an asset. Expertise and interest in teaching Theory of Knowledge (TOK) would be considered an asset. The candidate must be eligible to work in Canada.

Compensation & Organization
This is a full-time, 3-year fixed-term position, running from August 2025 to July 2028. The position is based at Pearson College UWC in Metchosin, British Columbia, approximately 40 minutes from downtown Victoria. Compensation for this position is based on qualifications, experience, and the current collective agreement salary scale ranges from $59,887 to $107,077.
