Pearson College UWC is recruiting for an outstanding Summer Events Assistant
Reporting to: Events Coordinator
Position Summary:
This position will supervise and support the Summer Events Lead Attendant along with the part-time Events Attendant team, and will assist in the coordination and execution of all summer programs and events at Pearson College. The Summer Events Assistant will assist the Events Coordinator in event and program planning, client communications, preparing equipment, providing dining hall meal service, billing, and all other hands-on service and administrative tasks. The Summer Events Assistant will work closely with a variety of college staff to provide support to the College’s Summer and Auxiliary Programming. As an integral part of the team, the Summer Events Assistant will provide logistical support to various programs, including but not limited to weddings, meetings, symposiums, school group trips, Pearson College reunions and other summer programming. The incumbent will also provide information and resources to participants and work with the faculty and staff to fulfill the goals of the College during the summer period. Additionally, the Summer Events Assistant will work closely with the kitchen, housekeeping, seafront, advancement, and maintenance departments to arrange and provide additional support during summer programming.

This is a temporary, full-time position with hours varied depending on the needs of the college (35–40 hours range per week from Wednesday, April 29, to Monday, August 17, 2026). Located at Pearson College UWC in Metchosin, approximately 40 minutes from downtown Victoria, BC. The hourly rate is $25.50. Meals are available in the College Dining Hall as a taxable benefit.
